The priority part of the first Bridge Identifier. The Bridge Identifier comprises two parts, one of which is derived from the unique Bridge Address (MAC address) and assures the uniqueness of the Bridge Identifier in the Bridged LAN, the other of which allows the adjustment of the priority of the Bridge Identifier and is taken as the more significant part in priority comparisons. The priority part of this parameter may be updated by management action when Bridge Management is supported.
