For each of 64 values of the 6-bit DSCP field (bit 7-2 of IP TOS/DiffServ/Traffic ) two bit are reserved coding one of the 3 internal buffers reserved for the corresponding value. - byte 0, bit 0-1: DSCP (TOS) = 0x0 (Device Reg. IP-Pri mapping Reg-0), - byte 0, bit 6-7: DSCP (TOS) = 0x3, - byte 15,bit 0-1: DSCP (TOS) = 0x3c (Device Reg. IP-Pri mapping Reg-7 bit 8-9), - byte 15,bit 6-7: DSCP (TOS) = 0x3F The first byte has index value 0, the last one has index value 15. Inside each byte, bit 0 is the least significant bit, bit 7 is the most significant.
