tmnxPtpPeerMasterBestMaster
TIMETRA-PTP-MIB ·
.1.3.6.1.4.1.6527.3.1.2.74.3.3.1.12
Object
column SNMPv2-TCTruthValue
The value of tmnxPtpPeerMasterBestMaster indicates whether or not this
PTP Peer is the best master clock, as decided by the Best Master Clock
Algorithm (BMCA).
Even if tmnxPtpPeerMasterBestMaster is true, this clock may not be the
parent clock.
For the case where the local GNSS is present and it is providing time
into PTP, then this object indicates if this peer would be the best
master if the GNSS were to fail. For this case, the local clock still
runs a recovery of time and possibly for frequency (G.8275.2)
and calculates the delay asymmetry between the two clocks.
