Defines the endpoint type:
              
  * Te: Terminal Equipment
  * Nt: Network Termination
              
When the SignalingChannel.Protocol parameter is set to QSIG,
the endpoint type will only be used in the second layer (LAPD)
since it is a concept that does not exist within QSIG.
