This attribute provides a unique number for each instance of this managed entity. This 2-byte number is directly associated with the physical position of the UNI. The first byte is the slot id (defined in 7.1.3). The second byte is the port id with value range from 0x01 to 0xFF (1 to 255): 0x01 is used for the leftmost/lowest port on a subscriber line card, 0x02 is used for the next right/upper port, and so forth.
