TIMETRA-SERV-MIB · .1.3.6.1.4.1.6527.3.1.2.4.2.166.1.18

Object

column r/w SNMPv2-TCMacAddress
The value of svcTlsProxyArpRNConfIpASpongMac specifies the configured
sponge MAC address used to reply ARP requests or neighbor solicitation
messages from unauthorized IP addresses.

When a sponge mac is configured, ARP Requests or neighbor
advertisements from an unauthorized IP address do not create entries
in the proxy-ARP table and ARP Requests or neighbor solicitations from
an unauthorized IP address are replied with the configured sponge MAC
address.

The configured sponge MAC address is, by default, not installed in the
FDB or advertised in EVPN. If desired, the sponge MAC address can be
configured as a static MAC in the same service.

This command supersedes the operation of
svcTlsProxyArpRestNonCfgdIpAddr for replies to ARP Requests.

Type Description
Represents an 802 MAC address represented in the
`canonical' order defined by IEEE 802.1a, i.e., as if it
were transmitted least significant bit first, even though
802.5 (in contrast to other 802.x protocols) requires MAC
addresses to be transmitted most significant bit first.
