Object
column mandatory
Integer32
A unique value for each MAC on the managed entity. The MAC identified by a particular value of this index is that identified by the same value of an ifIndex object instance. That is, if a MAC is associated with the interface whose value of ifIndex in the Internet-Standard MIB is equal to 5, then the value of snmpFddiMACIndex shall also equal 5. The value for each MAC must remain constant at least from one re-initialization of the entity's network management system to the next re-initialization.

How SNMP and these commands workWalk the column to discover its indexed instances, or supply every index to read one instance.
Walk the column
/usr/bin/snmpbulkwalk -v2c -c '<community>' -Pud -Ir -OQUs -m 'RFC1285-MIB' -M '/opt/observium/mibs/rfc:/opt/observium/mibs/net-snmp' 'udp:<hostname>:161' 'RFC1285-MIB::snmpFddiMACIndex'
More examples
Read one indexed instance
/usr/bin/snmpget -v2c -c '<community>' -Pud -Ir -OQUv -m 'RFC1285-MIB' -M '/opt/observium/mibs/rfc:/opt/observium/mibs/net-snmp' 'udp:<hostname>:161' 'RFC1285-MIB::snmpFddiMACIndex.<snmpFddiMACSMTIndex>.<snmpFddiMACIndex>'
Translate to a numeric OID
/usr/bin/snmptranslate -Pud -Ir -On -m 'RFC1285-MIB' -M '/opt/observium/mibs/rfc:/opt/observium/mibs/net-snmp' 'RFC1285-MIB::snmpFddiMACIndex'
