The test pattern to use in the L2Ping PDU with range of 
values namely allZero, allZeroCrc, 
pseudoRandomBitSequence and pseudoRandomBitSequenceCrc 
and with a default value of allZero.

allZero(0)             Null signal without CRC-32
allZeroCrc(1)          Null signal with CRC-32    
pseudoRandomBitSequence(2) PRBS 1/2^31-1 without CRC-32
pseudoRandomBitSequenceCrc(3) PBRS 1/2^31-1 with CRC-32
