Object

notification 
The port hardware detects loss of connectivity to
an end station or to another hub or switch. This is not
necessarily a fault condition, as the same signaling is
reported by the port hardware in usual operational cases,
for example, of a non-critical station being
disconnected or turned off at the end of the work day.
