PortDeviceEquipmentType
Base type
Enumeration
Type Description
The functional type of the port device.
At least one type is defined for each combination of
the following properties of the port device:

1 - number of interfaces

2 - type of interfaces

3 - the functionality of the port device (can usually be inferred from
the types of interfaces)

The application should be able to determine which and how many
interfaces should be instantiated from the type.

Functional types defined so far:

nidGe - Gigabit Ethernet Network Interface Device

iSFP-155 - iSFP synchronous transport module 155Mbps

iSFP-622 - iSFP synchronous transport module 622Mbps
