The PTP epoch began at 0 hours on 1 January 1970. Times measured since this epoch are designated in this standard as PTP Seconds. When the epoch is the PTP epoch, the value of the epoch number shall be the current number of times the 32-bit seconds clock has rolled over since the PTP epoch.
