pingCtlByPassRouteTable

DISMAN-PING-MIB · .1.3.6.1.2.1.80.1.2.1.21

Object

column r/w SNMPv2-TCTruthValue
The purpose of this object is to enable optional
bypassing the route table. If enabled, the remote
host will bypass the normal routing tables and send
directly to a host on an attached network. If the
host is not on a directly attached network, an
error is returned. This option can be used to perform
the ping operation to a local host through an
interface that has no route defined (e.g., after the
interface was dropped by the routing daemon at the host).
