The value of this field shall be the longest time in milliseconds,between the transmission of an ICMP echo Request between the transmission of an ICMP echo request frame and the receipt of the corresponding ICMP echo response frame. ICMP echo request frames for which no corresponding response is received shall be ignored in the determination of this value.
