OctetString
This object identifies the list of VLANs that are reserved for RSPAN
feature.
The first octet corresponds to VLANs with VlanId values
1 through 8; the second octet corresponds to VLANs 9 through
16 etc. The most significant bit of each octet
corresponds to the lowest VLAN ID in that octet.
The least significant bit represents the highest VLAN ID.
When VLANs are reserved through this object then following properties
are applicable:
- MAC learning is disabled for this VLAN.
- Reserved VLAN which is used for RSPAN should not be used for any
other functionality.
- Ports participating in RSPAN VLAN should be tagged ports to
connect to the remote device across network.
When VLANs are removed from this reservation list then RSPAN properties
on those VLANs will be removed and converted back to normal VLAN.
Re-configuring VLAN list will always overwrite the exiting list of VLANs
and the newly configured list of VLANs will be functional. Also in case
of reconfiguration, if any VLAN in the existing reserved VLAN list is
been used in any mirroring session, then overwriting will be restricted.
