E3 interface.  The AcE3StatusCustom is a 
bit map represented as a sum, therefore,
it can represent multiple defects simultaneously.
              
The various bit positions are:
  0x0001  STATUS_LOS

  0x0020  STATUS_E3_OOF
  0x0040  STATUS_E3_LOF         
  0x0080  STATUS_E3_LOF23
