This option controls the configured traffic blocking directions for a port when there are no authenticated clients for that port. Filtering only ingress packets will permit egress traffic to reach sleeping or hibernating devices. Main purpose is for WoL packets to reach to this kind of devices, but it might be applicable to other management packets as well.
