from the actual OS running. Will return one of the values if set in order:

  Vim.Vm.GuestInfo.guestId
  Vim.Vm.GuestInfo.guestFamily

     where moid = vmwVmIdx.
If VMware Tools is not running, value will be of form 'E: error message'
