pktcMtaDevServerDns2
PKTC-IETF-MTA-MIB ·
.1.3.6.1.2.1.140.1.2.6
Object
This object contains the IP Address of the secondary DNS server to be used by the MTA. The type of this address is determined by the value of the pktcMtaDevDnsServerAddressType object. When the latter has the value 'ipv4(1)', this object contains the IP address of the secondary DNS server. As defined in RFC 2132, PacketCable-compliant MTAs receive the IP addresses of the DNS Servers in DHCP option 6. The behavior of this object when the value of pktcMtaDevDnsServerAddressType is other than 'ipv4(1)' is not presently specified, but it may be specified in future versions of this MIB module. If a value is written into an instance of pktcMtaDevServerDns2, the agent MUST NOT retain the supplied value across MTA re-initializations or reboots.
