Dates are defined in the ASCII format:
yyyyMMddhhmmss.uuuuuu+fff or yyyyMMddhhmmss.uuuuuu-fff
where yyyy is the year, MM is the month, dd is the day, hh are the hours,
mm are the minutes and ss are the seconds.
uuuuuu is the number of microseconds, and +fff or -fff is the offset from
UTC in minutes.
