When enabled, the laser is on regardless of whether
there is an input signal present or not.
              
disabled - the laser is only on when there is an
          input signal.
              
enabled  - the laser is always on. This is intended
          to be used at installation to generate
          light in order to verify the connectivity.
              
NOTE: This attribute is not persistent
