This object allows manufacturing to change the product number to a pre-defined alternate after release. This feature will allow manufacturing to assign unique product numbers to custom product bundles when the device is unable to determine its product number in firmware. For example, A HP Color LaserJet CP1515n could be configured to display CP1516n to the customer. This product number must be defined prior to release.
