Object
column mandatory
OctetString
The MAC Address of the Network Interface Controller associated
with the Remote Insight/ Integrated Lights-Out.
This is a 6 octet address in the `canonical` order
defined by IEEE 802.1a, i.e., as if it were transmitted
least significant bit first, even though 802.5 (in
contrast to other 802.x protocols) requires MAC addresses
to be transmitted most significant bit first.
16-bit addresses, if needed, are represented by setting
their upper 4 octets to all 0`s, i.e., AAFF would be
represented as 00000000AAFF.

Net-SNMP examples
How SNMP and these commands workWalk the column to discover its indexed instances, or supply every index to read one instance.
Walk the column
/usr/bin/snmpbulkwalk -v2c -c '<community>' -Pud -Ir -OQUs -m 'CPQSM2-MIB' -M '/opt/observium/mibs/hp:/opt/observium/mibs/rfc:/opt/observium/mibs/net-snmp' 'udp:<hostname>:161' 'CPQSM2-MIB::cpqSm2NicMacAddress'
More examples
Read one indexed instance
/usr/bin/snmpget -v2c -c '<community>' -Pud -Ir -OQUv -m 'CPQSM2-MIB' -M '/opt/observium/mibs/hp:/opt/observium/mibs/rfc:/opt/observium/mibs/net-snmp' 'udp:<hostname>:161' 'CPQSM2-MIB::cpqSm2NicMacAddress.<cpqSm2NicLocation>'
Translate to a numeric OID
/usr/bin/snmptranslate -Pud -Ir -On -m 'CPQSM2-MIB' -M '/opt/observium/mibs/hp:/opt/observium/mibs/rfc:/opt/observium/mibs/net-snmp' 'CPQSM2-MIB::cpqSm2NicMacAddress'
