DCP-OPS-MIB

This MIB module defines management objects for the
Optical Protection Switch (OPS) module used in the
Smartoptics DCP platform.

It provides management of OPS operational state,
protection switching behavior, configuration, and
related performance and status information.

Net-SNMP examples using the smartoptics MIB directory Show commands

These commands use the standard Observium installation path and load the selected MIB variant before the RFC and Net-SNMP directories.

Translate the module identity
/usr/bin/snmptranslate -Pud -Ir -On -m 'DCP-OPS-MIB' -M '/opt/observium/mibs/smartoptics:/opt/observium/mibs/rfc:/opt/observium/mibs/net-snmp' 'DCP-OPS-MIB::dcpOps'
Walk the MIB subtree
/usr/bin/snmpbulkwalk -v2c -c '<community>' -Pud -Ir -OQUs -m 'DCP-OPS-MIB' -M '/opt/observium/mibs/smartoptics:/opt/observium/mibs/rfc:/opt/observium/mibs/net-snmp' 'udp:<hostname>:161' 'DCP-OPS-MIB::dcpOps'

Type Definitions (2)
Enumeration
lineA(1)
lineB(2)
Indicates which line interface is currently selected
on the receive side to carry client traffic within
the protection switch.

Transmission towards both Line A and Line B may
occur simultaneously, depending on the implementation.
This object reflects only the receive-side selection.

lineA(1) - Line A is selected for reception.
lineB(2) - Line B is selected for reception.
Enumeration
auto(1)
revertiveA(2)
revertiveB(3)
forcedA(4)
forcedB(5)
Indicates the configured protection switching mode
of the Optical Protection Switch.

auto(1) -
Non-revertive mode. Traffic is carried on the line
that becomes active first when the system starts.

If the active line fails, traffic switches to the
other available line.

When the failed line recovers, traffic remains on
the currently active line until a forced switch is
performed or the active line fails.

This behavior applies symmetrically to both Line A
and Line B.

revertiveA(2) -
Revertive mode with Line A as the preferred line.
Traffic switches to Line B upon failure of Line A
and automatically reverts to Line A after recovery.

revertiveB(3) -
Revertive mode with Line B as the preferred line.
Traffic switches to Line A upon failure of Line B
and automatically reverts to Line B after recovery.

forcedA(4) -
Forced mode. Line A is selected regardless of
failure conditions.

forcedB(5) -
Forced mode. Line B is selected regardless of
failure conditions.
