The total number of times that the ring enters a
beaconing state (beaconFrameStreamingState,
beaconBitStreamingState,
beaconSetRecoveryModeState, or
beaconRingSignalLossState) from a non-beaconing
state.  Note that a change of the source address
of the beacon packet does not constitute a new
beacon event.
