This variable indicates the Line Status of the
ESCON interface.  
              
The esconPortStatus is a bit map represented as a
sum, therefore, it can represent multiple failures (alarms) 
simultaneously.
              
esconPortNoAlarm must be set if and only if no other
flag is set.
              
The various bit positions are:
1     esconPortNoAlarm           No alarm present
2     esconPortTransmitFault     Transceiver transmit fault
4     esconPortLossOfSignal      Transceiver signal detect failed
8		esconPortNoLink			   No link established yet.
