For non-composite arrays (e.g., a straight mirror, RAID-1, set) this field is always 0. For composite arrays (e.g. stripe set of mirrors, RAID-10) this field indicates the position in the array hierarchy. If this is the topmost array in the hierarchy, this field will be 0. If this is a subordinate array in the hierarchy, this field is set to a value equal to the index of the entry in the Array Table locating its parent.
